Model answer

One advertisement that caught my attention recently was a short video for a local bookshop. I saw it while scrolling through social media. Instead of simply listing discounts, it showed a student feeling overwhelmed by exam revision, then finding a quiet corner in the shop and becoming absorbed in a novel. The story felt warm and relatable, so I remembered the name of the shop afterwards. I think the advert worked because it focused on an experience rather than pushing the product too aggressively. The images were simple, and the background music created a calm mood. It also gave viewers a clear reason to visit the shop, since the owner mentioned its reading space and friendly staff. I would not say it completely changed my habits, but it did make me curious enough to look up the shop online. In general, I respond better to advertising that is creative and honest. If an advert makes exaggerated claims, I tend to distrust it. But when it tells a convincing story and provides useful information, it can help me discover something I might genuinely enjoy.
