Model answer

The most pressing environmental issue in my country is undoubtedly air pollution, particularly in urban areas. This problem stems primarily from vehicle emissions and industrial activities. For instance, in major cities, the air quality often reaches hazardous levels, leading to respiratory illnesses and reduced visibility. This not only affects public health but also contributes to climate change. The government has implemented measures such as promoting electric vehicles and enforcing stricter emission standards, yet the problem persists due to rapid urbanization and insufficient enforcement. Personally, I believe this issue demands immediate attention because it impacts every citizen's well-being. Without decisive action, the long-term consequences could be catastrophic, including increased healthcare costs and environmental degradation. Therefore, a collaborative effort between authorities, industries, and individuals is crucial to mitigate this crisis.
