Model answer
One celebration that stands out for me was my grandmother’s seventieth birthday. We held it at my aunt’s house, and nearly all our relatives came, including some who had travelled for several hours. The best part was that it felt personal rather than formal. My cousins decorated the living room with family photographs, and everyone brought a dish that reminded them of my grandmother. After dinner, we shared stories about her, which made her laugh and, at a few moments, brought her close to tears. What made the occasion memorable was the sense of connection. I had not seen some of my relatives in years, so it was lovely to catch up without rushing. We also recorded short video messages for my grandmother, which she could watch again afterwards. I think celebrations are meaningful when they give people a reason to pause and appreciate one another. The decorations and food were enjoyable, of course, but the warmth of being together was what I remember most. It was a simple gathering, yet it felt genuinely special.
