Model answer

I think having a pet can make a person’s daily life more enjoyable, although it also brings real responsibilities. For example, walking a dog gives its owner a reason to exercise and spend time outdoors, even on a busy day. A pet can also provide companionship, which is especially valuable for people who live alone or feel stressed. Coming home to an enthusiastic dog or a friendly cat can be comforting after a difficult day. That said, people should not get a pet simply because they think it will be fun. Animals need regular care, including food, exercise, attention, and veterinary visits. Potential owners should consider their budget, living space, and schedule before making a decision. For instance, a person who works long hours may not be able to meet a young dog’s needs, while a more independent pet might be a better fit. Overall, pets can improve people’s well-being and bring a lot of joy, but the relationship works best when owners are prepared to care for the animal throughout its life.
