Model answer
I recall a situation in my university where miscommunication caused a team project to fail. We were assigned to create a presentation, and each member was responsible for a section. However, due to vague instructions from the team leader, I prepared content that overlapped with another member's work. This led to confusion and duplication on the day of the presentation. The root cause was the lack of clear delegation and the absence of a shared document outlining each person's tasks. To avoid this, we could have used a project management tool like Trello to assign specific roles and deadlines, and held brief check-in meetings to ensure everyone was aligned. Effective communication requires not only speaking clearly but also confirming understanding through active listening and follow-up questions. This experience taught me that clarity and feedback loops are essential to prevent misunderstandings, especially in collaborative settings.
