Model answer
At the moment, I don't have a pet, but I'd love to have a dog when my living situation is more suitable. I grew up around my aunt's golden retriever, so I know that having an animal can bring a lot of warmth into a home. Whenever I visited, the dog would greet me at the door and follow me around, which was lovely after a tiring day. That said, I wouldn't get a pet just because it seems fun. Dogs need regular exercise, attention, and veterinary care, and I would want to be sure I could provide all of that. I also work long hours sometimes, so it would be unfair to leave an animal alone for most of the day. In the future, if I had a place with enough space and a more flexible routine, I might adopt a dog from a shelter rather than buy one. I think caring for a pet would make me more responsible and give me a good reason to spend time outdoors. For now, though, I'm happy to enjoy my aunt's dog whenever I can.
