Model answer

My culture has seen several notable shifts over the past few decades. Traditionally, my country placed a strong emphasis on collective activities like family gatherings and religious ceremonies, which often brought communities together. However, with rapid urbanization and the influence of Western media, many younger people have adopted more individualistic lifestyles. For instance, while extended families previously lived under one roof, it's now common for nuclear families to reside separately, and festive celebrations that once involved entire neighborhoods have become more private. Additionally, the decline in the use of traditional languages among younger generations is a concerning trend, as language is a crucial vessel for cultural heritage. On a positive note, there has been a resurgence of interest in cultural elements like traditional cuisine and handicrafts, partly driven by social media and tourism. Overall, my culture is evolving to blend old customs with modern influences, striking a delicate balance between preservation and adaptation.
